N91 hands on experiences

The lucky few who have already met the N91 up close and personal at Nokia Press events have been kind enough to produce loads of cool pictures and videos, like these ones from Mobile-Review:

"Yesterday there was a meeting in the Netherlands relating the new music phones from Nokia (Nokia N91, Nokia 3250, Nokia 6680 Music Edition, Nokia 6230i Music Edition, N70 Music Edition and 6233 Music Edition). During this meeting there were four N91 smartphones, from which I made some pics and vids."

The new pictures and video have sparked discussion on the launch date for N91, as well as discussion on detailed aspects of the device.

Another review on MobileBurn has also included a video of the operating system in use.

"I went to the Nokia show yesterday and had real hands-on experiences on some of the latest phones from Nokia. The N91 is the big focus of the day since they have only got one working version there. I would like to share my experience on the phone here with you all."

The gadget show

N91 has been spotted on the Gadget Show, a highly respected English TV program which showcases and reviews the latest gadgets on the market each week. The piece is mainly based on the SE W800i and the Moto ROKR, but the "sexy" N91 with its 4GB hard drive is mentioned as the device to wait for.

N91 battery life discussion rages on

Recent doubts have been expressed over the N91's expected battery life. Octavo in his blog feels that this is a big downside of the device. It is also a recent discussion point on the Esato Forum.

While N91's standby time is less than some rivals, playback time is certainly on par. Where the N91 gains it’s advantage is in the battery itself. It uses the standard BL-5C Nokia battery (used by a number of nokia handsets 6230, 6600 and N-Gage). Replacements and spares are easy and cheap to get. Have a look on JustPhones and Mobile Place for current prices. Most sales packages also come with a spare battery.
