Nokia and Wibree

Nokia has launched a new digital radio technology called Wibree. The intention is for Wibree to work in conjunction with Bluetooth. Wibree's big plus is that it has very low power consumption.

This addition to the wireless mix will improve battery life on future devices, which is great news - considering that this has been one of the main N91 gripes.

If you want to learn more about Wibree, click here for Kevin Tofel's blog or here for a slightly more informative insight from El Reg's Bill Ray.
