BitTorrent on the N91

Antony Pranata has blogged about two exciting new pieces of free software. His s60tips post discusses groundbreaking BitTorrent and Gnutella clients from the Department of Automation and Applied Informatics at Budapest's University of Technology and Economics.

What's interesting about these new clients is that they are designed for S60 devices and make downloading content quick and easy. Of course, most devices don't really have enough memory to store movies and other large files. And surely transfering that amount of data would cost one a not-so-small fortune?

Luckily, the N91 is ideal for these applications. Connect via WLAN and its 4(or even 8!)GB hard drive will allow you to download to your heart's content!

You can read Antony's post here and download the software here (SymTorrent) and here (Symella).

Once you've installed the software you may want to actually download content. If so, click here for a list of legal .torrent files.
